Safety Components International is organized into three operating groups:
The North American Automotive Group, headquartered in Greenville, SC, is comprised of Safety Component Fabric Technologies, Inc. (SCFTI) and Automotive Safety Components International, Inc. (ASCI).

ASCI, through its manufacturing facility in Ensenada, Mexico, is a major low-cost supplier of airbag cushions to air bag integrators. The facility has the capacity to produce 5-million airbag cushion per year.
The European Automotive Group is headquartered in Hildesheim, Germany. The headquarters includes Marketing and Engineering, as well as Developmental Engineering and test laboratories. Total airbag production is currently 17 million airbag cushions with additional capacity of 5 million.

Automotive Safety Components International s.r.o. (ASCIsro), Jevicko, Czech Republic, is the premier, low-cost air bag manufacturing facility in the company employing about 600 people. Located about 70 km to the north of Brno, ASCI s.r.o mainly produces manual sewn passenger and side impact cushions.

Automotive Safety Components International ro, (ASCIro) was established in 2001. The facility is located in Sigishoara, Romania in the Transylvania region nestled in the picturesque Carpatian Mountains. The operation has grown quickly from a start up in April 2001, to approximately 5 million airbag cushions there annually.

Automotive Safety Components International GT (Pty) Ltd. (ASCIgt) is a joint venture with Gelvenor Textiles of South Africa . Located in Durban, SA, ASCIgt forms its first airbag cushion company on the African continent. Utilizing locally-produced Gelvenor fabrics and employing sophisticated laser cutting equipment along with ASCI’s industry leading process and quality control techniques, ASCIgt will have the capability to produce a wide range of automotive driver, passenger, side, and curtain airbag cushions and related assemblies.
The Asia Pacific Automotive Group is headquarted in Shanghai, China.
- Automotive Safety Components International (Changshu) Co., Ltd. (ASCIC) is the most recent SCI expansion. ASCIC is located in Changshu City, Jiangsu Province, Peoples Republic of China. The location is about 80 kilometers northwest of Shanghai. ASCIC will cut, sew, fold and perform some sub-assembly of airbag cushions. ASCIC is a joint venture with Huamao (Xiamen) Technical Textile Company. Huamao, a company in Xiamen City of China will develop, produce and supply airbag fabrics with technical assistance provided by Safety Components International.
