The solution dyed Nomex and Kevlar fibers have not been exposed to a strength-degrading fabric dyeing process, thereby retaining the maximum fiber strength for long lasting performance. Dupont inserts the color during the polymeric production phase so the color is through the fiber, not just on the fiber skin surface. Kevlar brings strength…Nomex brings abrasion resistance…and PBI brings thermal and flash protection.

Light-weight, Light-fast—PBI Bronze maintains the best in USAR durability and thermal protection, while weighing less. At 5.5 osy, it is extremely light-weight and comfortable for less work stress on demanding days. The solution dyed Nomex and Kevlar fibers have the best in color and strength retention from those damaging UV rays.
Strength—We have inserted our low profile rip-stop for the highest in tear resistance. This is the same low profile rip-stop found in our structural turnout fabrics. Don’t settle for anything less than the strength of rip-stop
Dry—Teflon F.P.P.E. Stay dry and reduce work stress with our patented Teflon F.P.P.E. fabric finish. This is the same finish in our structural outershell PBI Gold Plus and Fusion.
