PBI Max LP is a revolutionary new PBI fiber that raises the bar on break open protection. Compared to traditional PBI fiber, PBI Max LP exhibits stronger molecular bonds for better dimensional stability, increased flame resistance and better break open protection.
The decomposition temperature of PBI Max LP fiber is about 1500 ËšF (about 815 ËšC), making PBI LP outer shells the most protective fabrics available.

By incorporating 30% Para-Aramid filament, PBI Max LP is engineered to increase tear resistance by up to four times that of competitive fabrics. It is not only stronger new, but just as important, it is stronger throughout the life of the garment after exposure to UV (the element most damaging to FR fabrics).
